"Addiction's Actuality" explores the topic of alcohol and drug addictions, from a person's descent into addiction, through recovery, and life after. Pianist David Richardson, a DMA collaborative piano student of Prof. Martha Fischer, will be presenting a lecture-recital focusing on the songs of Gustav Jenner. Jenner, who was a student of Johannes Brahms. From 1888-1895, Jenner composed lieder while studying with Brahms in Vienna. The program will discuss and perform selections of these songs with the help of guest soprano Saira Frank.
