- $7 – $17

Formed in 1972, the Wisconsin Brass Quintet now performs with UW-Madison Professor of Percussion Anthony DiSanza in a wide range of styles, from classical to jazz to commercial music.

Since 1972, the Wisconsin Brass Quintet has maintained a position at the forefront of brass chamber music. The group now performs with UW-Madison Professor of Percussion Anthony DiSanza, opening new avenues of musical expression and a wide range of styles, from classical to jazz to commercial music. Along with this new formation, the WBQ’s commitment to commissioning, arranging, transcribing, and reimagining repertoire has afforded the group a distinctive and exciting musical voice.

With Alex Noppe and Matthew Onstad, trumpets; Tom Curry, tuba; Mark Hetzler, trombone; Daniel Grabois, horn; Anthony DiSanza, percussion.

The quintet is one of three faculty chamber ensembles-in-residence at UW-Madison. Deeply committed to the spirit of the Wisconsin Idea, the group travels widely to offer its concerts and educational services to students and the public in all corners of the state.

This is a ticketed event. $17 adults, $7 children. Free to music majors, faculty and staff. To avoid long lines, we suggest arriving 30 minutes early or buying tickets ahead of time, either in person or online.
