Elias Goldstein (DMA 2011) is assistant professor of viola at Louisiana State University and much sought internationally for recitals and master classes. Dr. Goldstein was awarded second prize at the Primrose International viola competition in 2011 and recently made his Russian debut with the Moscow Soloists and the New Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra under Alexander Slatkovsky. He took second prize at the Bashmet International viola competition, and was also a top prizewinner at the Lionel Tertis International viola competition in 2010.
Angela Draghicescu is visiting professor of music at the University of Southern Alabama. Hailed by the New York Times as “elegant and spectacular,” Dr. Drăghicescu has established an international reputation as a collaborative pianist, chamber musician and teacher. Recent engagements have included performances at Carnegie Hall in New York, The Kennedy Center in Washington DC, Seattle Symphony’s Benaroya Hall, The Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Salle Gaveau in Paris, Rudolfinium in Prague, George Enescu Philharmonic in Bucharest, and Harpa in Iceland.
