Ms. Johnson is one of four violinists licensed as Body Mapping teachers in North America, and is the only strings teacher-trainer in Body Mapping worldwide (http://bodymap.org/main/). In addition to her yearly presentation at conferences of the American String Teachers Association, she travels for Body Mapping residencies all across North America and works with musicians in orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic. She performs as a violinist with the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra in Canada.
All participants are strongly encouraged to bring their instrument as well as a yoga mat or a blanket to lie down on the floor to try different body awareness methods. Free of charge. Please direct questions about this residency to Soh-Hyun Altino, Associate Professor of Violin, at firstname.lastname@example.org. We look forward to seeing you!
Ms. Johnson’s book is available on Amazon.
