Kyle Johnson is a third-year DMA candidate in piano, studying with Christopher Taylor. He will perform works of composers who have been labelled "reactionary," "traditional," and "progressive": Alban Berg, John Adams, Joseph Haydn, Caroline Shaw and Arnold Schoenberg. Performed back-to-back, the listener is afforded the possibility that all of these words could apply to each composer.
