Music Theory
The UW-Madison School of Music Colloquium Series meets at 4:00pm on select Fridays during fall and spring semesters. Colloquia are organized by the Colloquium Committee, which is staffed by School of Music graduate student volunteers and a faculty advisor. Speakers come from within the School of Music, the larger campus community, as well as from other academic institutions and music-related organizations throughout the United States. All Colloquia are free and open to the public.

The Midwest Graduate Music Consortium (MGMC) is a joint venture organized by graduate students from The University of Wisconsin at Madison, The University of Chicago, and Northwestern University. Conferences allow graduate students in various fields of music to come together and share ideas on a vast array of topics. Conferences are held annually, in the spring, at UW-Madison, the University of Chicago, or Northwestern.
