These events, originally set for March 13 & 14, were postponed due to illness and have now been rescheduled. 

Emery Stephens, baritone, is assistant professor of voice at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. He holds degrees from Gordon College, Boston University, and a DMA from the University of Michigan.

Prof. Stephens visited campus in October 2015 to present a lecture-recital on “African-American Voices in Classical Music” (click here to read about his earlier visit). He will return in March to coach student singers and pianists in African-American songs and spirituals. He will also perform with students in a recital. Prof. Martha Fischer will collaborate on piano.

TBD:  Coachings with student singers and pianists. A sign-up sheet will be on Prof. Fulmer’s door, 5411.

Wednesday, April 12: Recital with student singers and pianists, as well as selections performed by Profs. Stephens and Fischer. Music Hall, 6:30 PM.
