Fall: "Marching Band"

The Wisconsin Marching Band rehearses only during the University of Wisconsin football season four days per week. Rehearsals have been planned at a time that will not conflict with class schedules or prime study time. Care is always taken that Marching Band activities do not interfere with academic responsibilities.

No formal audition procedure is required; however, new members will be asked to play for part placement and attend marching fundamental instruction sessions. Instruments will be provided without charge after personnel has been selected.

Rehearsal Times:
Tuesday through Friday, 3:45-5:30 PM during football season


Spring: "Varsity Band"

The Varsity Band consists of students from the Marching Band who wish to perform at hockey, volleyball, basketball games. Students who register for Varsity Band must be in the Marching Band throughout the football season.

Rehearsal Times:
Wednesday 3:30-5:30 PM following football season
